Freedom Internet Group's network is based on a fully redundant platform built around Cisco, DELL and Sun Microsystems hardware with high speed and large capacity Internet connection. All Servers are located in Australia at a data centre in Brisbane located on a major Internet backbone with power provided by 2 different electrical grids, excess and redundant UPS systems to prevent disruption caused by short power outages, diesel generator backups with sufficient fuel for 2 days onsite and provision for resupply within 2 hours, VESDA Fire Detection and Control Systems, 24/7 video surveillance and multiple security checkpoints.

Security

Web servers are protected by managed firewalls and a range of proactive measures including hardware and software based monitoring systems to ensure integrity and data security at all times.

Internet Connection

Freedom Internet Group's network utilises high speed connections giving us both speed and redundancy.

Firewall

Firewalls provide the highest levels of security for clients by actively blocking malicious traffic being sent into the network and in some cases out of the network.

Power

Dual Power inputs into all racks to support power redundancy to the servers and network as well as supporting a dual redundant air conditioning system for reliable, "always-on" hosting. The entire network power system is then backed up by multiple redundant Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to ensure ongoing connectivity during power outages.

Servers

Utilising Sun Microsystems and DELL servers, Freedom Internet Group provide shared web hosting, Virtual Private Servers (VPS) and Dedicated Servers in an "always-on" hosting environment.

Data Backup

Freedom Internet Group utilises a mixture of "Off Server" and "Off Network" backups for fast client backups and restorations as well as "Off Site" backups of critical data files. All backups are carried out and tested on a regular basis to ensure minimum recovery time and maximum data recovery.
